Marsha Cook
Marsha Cook has been teaching Suzuki Piano in the 1980s and had the rare privilege of studying under sensie Haruko Kataoka, one of the founders of the Suzuki method. Ms. Cook has degrees in Music and Early Childhood Development.
Her Suzuki training workshops include 10 Piano concerts, Friendship concerts, recitals at the University of Sacramento, Play-ins, Master Lessons, group teacher piano research for improving tone, and studio recitals.
Ms. Cook has extensive experience teaching music with rhythm instruments at pre-schools for ages 4–6 and is a licensed Kindermusik instructor. Click here for more information. She also plays piano, flute, and guitar.
The Studio
Ms. Cook’s studio is in the heart of Carmichael, CA, in a quiet home near Ancil Hoffman Park and close to walking and horse trails. Lessons are taught using two 7' Kawai grand pianos, according to the Suzuki method of the teacher accompanying the student. She offers Kindermusik classes at various locations.
